Day 1 - Arrival Beirut International Airport - Hotel in Jounieh
Arrival at Beirut International Airport, transfer to hotel in Jounieh. Welcome drink on arrival. Dinner & overnight
Day 2 - Byblos - Annaya - Tripoli or Cedars - Hotel in Jounieh
Arguably one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities, he site of Byblos is contended to date back at least 7000 years. The visit includes the citadel, souks and church with time to enjoy the atmosphere of the beautiful old port. Lunch in the village of Annaya - also the birth and resting place of St. Charbel. Afternoon either spent discovering the beautiful Cedar forests of the North or if the weather should not permit, in the equally interesting town of Tripoli. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Jounieh.
Day 3 - Bcharreh - Qozhaya - Cedars - Hotel in Zghorta
A full day in the North with a visit of the museum of the famous poet and philosopher, Gibran Khalil Gibran. Weather permitting descend into the holy valley of the first printing house of the Middle East at the convent of Qozhaya. Lunch in the mountain village of Ehden before discovering the biblical forests of the Cedars. Continue to the town of Zghorta for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 - Krak des Chevaliers - Homs - Baalbeck - Hotel in Bekaa
Pass the Syrian border and proceed to the Krak de Chevaliers to visit the fortress dating back to the time of the Crusaders. Lunch in Homs before returning to Lebanese soil to the impressive site of Baalbeck to visit God Baal´s city, named Heliopolis (city of the Sun) by the Greeks, Roman temples were consecrated to the Trinity of Gods (Jupiter, Bacchus and Venus). Dinner and overnight in the Hotel in Zahle.
Day 5 - Anjar - Chateau Ksara - Castle Moussa - Beiteddine - Hotel in Chouf
Beginning the full day tour with a visit to the Ommayad City of Anjar before wine tasting at the natural wine cellars of Chateau Ksara. Proceeding to Beiteddine in the Chouf mountains, first class lunch at Mir Amine Palace hotel. After lunch - Beiteddine: the Palace of Emir Bechir built at the beginning of the 19th century is a masterpiece of oriental architecture. The visit of the Palace, grounds and mosaics is followed by that of the Castle Moussa, which is in complete contrast of style and decore. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Chouf.
Day 6- Saida - Tyre - Echmoun - Hotel in the Beirut
A full day in the South beginning with the Crusader Sea castle of Saida, its ancient and lively souks, the Great Mosque dating back to the 13th century and the Castle of St. Louis. Seafood lunch in Tyre before visiting this ancient Phoenicia city. Major sites of Tyre include a Roman Hippodrome, Necropole and the monumental Arc of Triumph. Time for a short visit of the Temple of Echmoun before checking-in the hotel in the Beirut. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Nahr El Kelb - Jeita - Harissa - Faqra - Hotel in Beirut
On the way to the fabulous Jeita Grottoes, pass by to see the carved inscriptions at Nahr El Kelb (Dog River). Visit of the exquisite superimposed caves by means of train, boat and footpaths. Lunch is followed by a trip in to the Lebanese foothills to our Lady of Lebanon at Harissa where a superb panaromic view of the Bay of Jounieh is enjoyed. Continue into Mount Lebanon to Faqra to witness the natural bridge and fossil hunt. Return to hotel in Beirut. Dinner and overnight.
Day 8 - Beirut - Shopping - Hotel in Beirut
Morning at discovery of Beirut downtown area where a complete restoration program is being undertaken for the battle worn buildings. Visit of the excavations uncovered in the process. Time also to browse around the National Museum of Beirut.Leisurely lunch before free time to explore the shopping districts. Dinner and overnight in hotel in Beirut.
Day 9 - Departure Beirut International Airport
Return transfer to Beirut International Airport for departure flight.
